"Fox" Si-Long Chen
Si-Long Chen, nicknamed Fox, was born in Taipei, Taiwan on August 26th, 1991. Si-Long, along with her mother and older sister, lived in an apartment in Hsinchu Science and Industrial Park (HSIP) where there big companies and manufactures, like Acer and Asus, were headquartered. She went to a magnet school dubbed National Experimental High School (NEHS), which provided education from K1 to high school for the children whose parents work in the HSIP.
On July 27th, 2006, she arrived in the United States for her future education. Si-Long lived in Evans, Georgia with her aunt and uncle while pursuing her education at Lakeside High School. She graduated in 2009 and is currently a senior at Augusta State University. She enjoyed participating in organizations and working with people. She worked as a student assistant for Dr. Kellman, a published writer, Sandhills Writiers Series director, and a formal professor of the Communications Department. She wrote for Student Diaries of the Public Relations Department. After experiencing many trials and errors, Si-Long obtained good charisma to be a responsible and well-respected leader. Currently, she is the president of the Creative Writing Club and the vice president of the Film Club. In spring of 2012, she was involved with the study abroad program and attended the Model United Nations in New York City. While involving in student activities, she is pursuing a bachelor degree in Communications and Professional Writing, with a minor in art.
Other than activities at school, she also engages with opportunities in the society. Si-Long worked at the Montessori Foundation in Taiwan as a summer internship in 2009; in 2010, she interned at the Digital Media Department in Augusta Chronicle, and now she is the webmaster of the student newspaper, also known as The Bell Ringer, and interns for Microsoft Campus Entertainment. She has great passion for writing and reading.
