Francisco Gonzalez

I'm an Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagin focusing on computational aerodynamics and control theory. My immediate goal is to earn a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering. I am currently engaged in a research project studying the aerodynamic behavior of vertical axis wind turbines under changing parameters with the hope of being able to develop a robust control algorithm for maximum torque production.

I am passionate about learning new things and taking on challenging projects. I believe in socially responsible engineering, and it is important to me to work on projects that can really make a difference in peoples lives not just now but for future generations to come.

Besides my career aspirations I enjoy running, cooking incredibly delicious foods, exploring new places, and drinking lots of coffee.
