So who am I? Currently I'm a Cardigan girl living in London. I should mention that when I say I'm a Cardigan girl I mean the town from where I grew up, Cardigan in West Wales, not literally that I wear cardigans everyday and now have an unusual nickname.
I am assuming you have already looked at my CV, so let me fill in the blanks...
I grew up in West Wales where it is usual for people to be self employed, it's an area of outstanding beauty which breeds creativity. Being surrounded by talented artists and crafts people I noticed a niche in the market, so I opened Cardigan's first pop up shop. It was an adorably cute little shop near the beach front, which sold beautifully hand crafted items and artwork made by local people. Some of these were already well established, others were unknown but with talent. The shop was a success so a while later I opened The Crafters Cwtch in Cardigan town centre, and I am so happy to say that this fab shop is still open today.
But I walked away, I had so much but I still felt there was more I wanted to do and try, one of which was moving to a city. I had always hated heading into the city, too many people for one, but I still wanted to try it. I choose Manchester and initially planned for 6 months, it turned out that I LOVED IT and northern people are so friendly that I ended up staying for 2 years. In that time I've mainly taken on temporary roles, not by design but by being in the right place at the right time really, where I have had the opportunity to add to and grow my skills giving me a rounded out skill set.
I have since met a wonderful man who I am planning on spending the next phase of my life with, but you guessed it, he lives in London ...so London here I come. This is basically where I need you, because I need a job. Not just any job, I love to work, I love to be involved and give my all so if you think your company or client could do with an all rounder with a friendly approach on the team, then I hope to hear from you.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little.... Francesca
