My name is Francesca Madia Mele, I am originally from Naples, a sunny city in South of Italy, about 30 years ago. After going all around for a while for studying and working, a few years ago I moved to Dublin where I currently live.
My research interests are in the area power system modelling with the inclusion of stochastic processes. Related fields are renewable energies and in particular wind power generation.
I received both BSC and MSC degree in Control Engineering from “Universita’ Degli Studi di Napoli Federico II”, Italy, in 2013. I developed my master thesis (“A model-based approach to HVAC fault detection and diagnosis”) at the Automatic Control Laboratory, KTH, Sweden. A publication based on this thesis is available at http://goo.gl/kEz02.
From 2013 until 2014, I worked with Texas Instruments as Account Manager.
I commenced my PhD in UCD in September 2014, with the Electricity Research Centre (ERC).
From June 2016 I worked in EirGrid as Innovation Research Analyst within the DS3 programme.
