I’ve been studying traditions of tea rituals around the world, for the last 10 years or more, tasting them, testing them, and giving tea a contemporary flair and appeal. As a tea expert and a pioneer ambassador of tea culture in Italy, I’ve created and launched a professional method for tasting tea.
With ArtedelRicevere™ (www.artedelricevere.com) founded in 2001, I entered into the world of reception and hospitality, featuring tea as the main symbol and protagonist. For the past 10 years, I’ve been collaborating on the development of tea consumption in Italy, with the aim to encourage Italians to think about tea in new ways. Luxury hotels (Ferragamo, Bulgari, Henri Chenot, Baglioni, Orient Express, Town House, Montecarlo Bay, Monte-Carlo SBM), celebrity chefs (Alajmo, Leemann, Berton, Oldani, Scabin) and high fashion brands have entrusted me with creation of the tea menu as well as education and training of tea sommeliers through my Tea Experience School.
As a Tea Sommelier, I develop tea menus for hotels and restaurants, select best choices to be launched in commerce, create blends, and tune up tea-featured recipes.
During the last 3 years I also developed my managerial and entrepreneurial skills, in particular over the last 2 years as managing director of Orientis Group (www.orientis.fr) in Italy, I established the Italian branch of the French multinational company owner of some important tea brands: Kusmi tea and Lov Organic.
In less than one year the company, starting from scratch, opened a shop in shop in LaRinascente Duomo 7th floor food market, a store in Milan, Via Fiori Chiari, both with Kusmi brand and in Sept 2013, Via Victor Hugo the first Lov Organic boutique in Italy. When I left the company in May both brands had reached the level of visibility (including a great coverage over magazines) and overachieved the turnover we initially planned, setting the company on the right track for success.
