Why would I make an awesome New Media Producer?

For starters, I am a social media marketing fiend. As a marketing major (I took collegeclasses full time during my last two years of high school) I am fascinated by the continually extending opportunities in social media. I was there when the first facebook fanpages became big and over a year later I now I have an itch to scan every social QR code. It's open land out there, and I want to be one of the pioneers.

I also have technical know-how. Discovering new programs used to be a hobby of mine - and still I would gladly continute. I currently know my way around Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Sony Vegas (video editing software) quite well. 7 years experience in Photoshop, to be more specific.I know the way around the internet like the back of my hand (even a little bit more, since I'm pretty sure I've logged more time infront of a computer screen than sleeping).

Non-profits and volunteering are also part of me. I have helped bag food for Feed My Starving Children more times than I can count and I am minoring in non-profit management in college. I believe that we can make a

To back it all up, I have knowledge and experience that is just WAITING to be implemented.I read Mashable.com, a social media blog, almost religiously. I was apart of of Collegiate DECAfor two years so I did things like...attend a social media seminar and then come in 2nd place in the following compeitition with my groups social media campaign for the popular clothing storeRue 21. Articles, speeches, examples, etc. have fueled my brain with the urge to explore more marketing strategies, and then you tell me I can do all this while helping solve world hunger? Now that sounds just too good to be true.
