Hi, I’m FRANCESCO. I’m a manager and entrepreneur living in Rome, Italy. I am a fan of photography, technology, and entrepreneurship.

I was born in 1985 and I spent my '20s living in Perugia, Istanbul, Bangkok, and Los Angeles, California.

I was awarded a Master's Degree in Management in Italy and I later specialized in Film Production in Los Angeles.

Before starting the adventure of being an entrepreneur, I worked abroad as a project manager, fundraiser, and creative film producer. In 2014 I founded Byke, the first ride-sharing app for mopeds and scooters in Europe. In 2015 Byke became Scooterino a company that raised more than $800K from American investors, delivered more than 100,000 rides in the city of Rome, and joined the ICE Global Startup Program in Tokyo for 3 months in 2019. Scooterino has been active until March 2020, when due to the pandemic we had to pause operations.

I'm an advisor and mentor to many startups and a member of Skills for Equity, a network whose mission is to add value to promising projects through experience and skills.

In 2017, I co-founded a mission-driven startup named "Hoppipolla - feed up your mind" (www.hoppipolla.it), a subscription service that monthly curates surprise boxes containing original creations of indie culture, music, Italian design, and illustration. The company was selected by Fondazione Cariplo among the most promising cultural projects in Italy and grew by 60% month on month in 2017 and 2018. I decided to exit Hoppipolla in 2019 to start new endeavors.

At the end of 2019 I purchased at auction the entire photographic work (123 photos) of Giuseppe Palmisano, know with the pseudonym "iosonopipo" (https://www.instagram.com/iosonopipo/) with the objective to start a project commited to the protection and care of women victims of violence and to a gender education, finally relieved from any patriarchal and homophobic claim.

I worked as Expansion Team Lead forscaleup Glovo in 2021-2022,leading a team of 15 talented people with whom I launched and managed more than 40 new cities in Central Italy.

I'm now the co-founder and CEO of Wonka Talent, a digital marketing agency that I bootstrapped and scaled to €1M+ ARR in less than 2 years.

My goal is to improve the quality of life in modern cities, inspire personal growth through discovery, and promote the work of independent, creative people.
