Frances Ekwue
Recruiter and Work Placement Coordinator in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK
Frances Ekwue, currently living in Aberdeen, Scotland, grew up in a small city in Nigeria.
Born on the Fourth of April in Kaduna City, she schooled in Zamani college, before finally relocating to Scotland, to continue her studies.
She's always had a passion for writing and drawing, and composed a few screenplays and amateur comic books in Elementary School. Although, she stopped after a couple of years to focus more on her studies.
In Mid-2004, she lost a brother and found it difficult to focus on day to day activities. That revived her need to dream up and create alternate realities in her mind. Finding them a bit too much to keep in her head, she started jotting them down, using this release to remind herself of her love of creative writing.
She wrote four unpublished short novels before starting on Orinocco's True Love, her first published novel of over 350 pages. Due to high school ending and her move to the United Kingdom, Frances halted her plans of writing for a short period, before finally resuming in the year 2010 to end the story and edit it.
Two years after the completion of Orinocco's True Love, Frances, with the help of her brother, published the novel, and she continues to write and finish more.
