Francis Montocchio

Greetings from Vienna, Austria.

My name is Francis, I am 61 years old, slim, fit and in perfect health.

I am looking for ocean/coastal sailing mike-building opportunities.

I’m a guitar teacher living in Vienna, Austria. I grew up at the sea in Cape Town and Durban. During this time I fished, rowed, surfed and sailed, developing a connection with and a love for the sea. I feel most alive at or on the water.

Once I retire in four years I intend to achieve my dream: buy a sailing boat, live on board and sail the world for as long as I can.

In preparation for this, I have completed my first ocean sailing week as crew (Adriatic) as well as getting my “B Skipper’s” License in Croatia.

By the end of August 2019 I will have completed two further sailing qualifications, the Austrian BFA and the FB2 and IC.

In addition to this, I will have completed a sailing trip (1600NM) from Las Palmas to Lisbon via Madeira and the Azores, crewing on a Discovery 55 with Eamon Crosbie as skipper.

I am a good team member, easy to get on with, a stickler for details as well as safety. I can cook and have absolutely no problem with menial chores.
