Francisca Onukansi Ogochukwu is a passionate global health practitioner with experience in research coordination, community-led interventions, and evidence generation focused on women’s health and wellbeing. Her work spans reproductive health, health systems strengthening, cancer screening, and non-communicable diseases among underserved populations in Nigeria.

She currently serves as a National Health Fellow under the Presidential National Health Fellowship Programme, where she works closely with the Federal Ministry of Health and PHC officers to identify primary health care challenges, support evidence-based solutions, and contribute towards achieving universal health coverage in Nigeria.

Previously, she worked as a site research coordinator at the Ivan Research Institute, coordinating NHS-funded studies on cervical cancer screening, prostate cancer, hypertension, and reproductive health interventions.

Francisca is also a team lead with the Youth in Research Hub, supporting grant writing, manuscript development, and research training for young researchers.

Driven by her passion for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), she co-founded the HopeForHer Humanitarian Foundation, where she leads initiatives improving access to menstrual and reproductive health services, including pad banks in rural schools.

She also works with Real Relief to promote Safepad, supporting menstrual dignity through sustainable innovation.

Francisca studied Public Health at Federal University of Technology Owerri and remains committed to advancing health equity, policy-driven research, and community health development.
