Francis Masaline is a distinguished Liberian leader, visionary social entrepreneur, and internationally recognized advocate for youth empowerment, climate action, and social justice. With over eight years of experience across corporate sectors, NGOs, and extensive volunteer work, he has built a reputation as a dynamic force for transformative change in Africa. As the Founder and CEO of the Youth International Leadership Institute (YIL-Network), he has led impactful programs addressing complex social, economic, and environmental challenges. YIL-Network, registered in Liberia and affiliated with Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, is dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities, promoting equal rights, and fostering sustainable development aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Africa Agenda 2063.
Francis holds a Diploma in Business Administration and is pursuing a B.Sc. in Information Technology at BlueCrest University Liberia, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of the People, and studies in Sociology and Public Administration at African Methodist Episcopal Zion University. His educational background reflects his commitment to enhancing his expertise to address pressing social challenges.
A Certified Aspire Leader from Harvard Business School, Francis is also a certified Honor Social Changemaker from the University of Cape Town, a LearningPlanet Mentor, and a Communication Specialist. His roles have included National Youth/Children Coordinator for Equip-Youth Liberia, Climate Change Advocate with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and Country Director of the Youth International Conclave (YIC).
Francis has received numerous accolades, including the Lonestar Cell MTN Momo Heroes of Change Award (Liberia, 2023), the GreenWorld Better Youth Initiative CORP Award (Nigeria), the 2022 International Future Innovative Award In2Future, and the 2021 Leadership Award for advancing the UN SDGs in Liberia. He has also been recognized by the UN Global Compact Instituto Educando Para La Paz for promoting the UN Global Compact principles. Additionally, he serves as a Global Peace Ambassador for the International Youth Society Yemen and is a champion member of the World Economic Forum.
He envisions a world free from poverty, violence, and inequality, where young people are empowered to lead and create sustainable change.
