Ontario is home to me, we get a taste of all seasons and the natural order of things is not lost on the people here and hopefully not lost on me either. I think we all do our best every day to contribute in our own way to the good of things and hopefully have some fun in the process.
I wrote this this year, I don't often write poetry but find that when I turn corners in my life I tend to put it down in some way. I call it Beloved.
Make of me the sun and I will leave the sky to live in your crystal blue eyes.
Make me the wind and I will search the world for the brush of your hair.
Make of me the moon and I will shine bright upon your footsteps when the darkness comes.
Make me the rain and I will scour the earth in search of your reflection in me.
Make of me the branch above your window to shake a lullaby of leaves for you.
Make me a snowflake and I will dance down soft upon your lips to melt a kiss inside you.
Make of me the clouds to paint your beauty in the sunsets last light.
Make me a wish and I will chase down the shooting stars to bring it truth.
Make of me a song and I will journey through the minds of all so they will know you as I do.
Make me a mountain, for I am a mountain, now changed, now new for the faith I placed in you.
I know there is no way to become these things of words and day.
It's just a feeling, just my way, the world you mean to me.
And you, my beloved, are simply more beautiful than you will ever, ever know.
I thought it was a song maybe, then a poem, I am really not sure but people like it. When I was asked who I wrote it for I honestly couldn't say, I think maybe its for me and whoever enjoys it, its for them and maybe its about how we all deserve to be cared for. If you beleive in God, then it most certainly is how God cares for you.
