I support news media innovators in classrooms, newsrooms, and boardrooms through original research, pioneering courses, insightful consulting, and effective coaching. I am a Reader [Associate Professor] in Media Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Central Lancashire and editor of World Press Trends for WAN-IFRA, the World Association of News Publishers. A former Visiting Research Fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford, I'm a co-founder of the Innovation Research Group and the Digital Editors Network, UK. I work across the UK and internationally from my bases in Manchester, United Kingdom, and Cape Town, South Africa.
