A young professional chef from Dominican Republic.
Francys has a Bachelor's Degree in hotel management (major in Food and Beverage) from Pontificia Universidad Catolidad Madre y Maestra, Santo Domingo, Rep Dom.
Soon after graduating she followed her passion for food and cooking and earned her Associate Degree in culinary arts at The Culinary Institute of America, where she worked as Chef Assistant in the continuing education program. During her school program Francys externed at the Walt Disney Company. After graduating she went to work under 2011 Chef of the Year Jose Andres in Washington DC Cafe Atlántico.
She is now back in her home country where she is working on her next projects. On her free time she writes on her blog La Cocina Kitchen where she tests and creates recipes and share cooking tips, she loves wine tasting and talking with her wine lover dad and she also enjoys sports and music.
