When I was just a little boy, I asked my mother what will I be. Will I be famous, will I be rich? Here's what became of me:

As of my 16th bithday I knew school wasn't for me. A lot of excessive knowledge that I would never use was fired towards me by incompetent teachers that couldn't make their lessons more boring even if they'd try!

I've started my professional IT career @Bits&Bytes Hasselt at the age of 17. Since I already knew how to assemble and repair computers they soon let me loose on full grown networks and domotics. Great company, great boss, fantastic people to work with. Great first work experience.

After three years I took on a new job in Genk which only lasted for one year. People make bad choices, who am I to blame... :-)

Soon I found my current job as an IT Manager for 12 schools all part of Schoolgroup Kempen. I'm the only IT'er who is responsible for about 500 workstations, 15 servers and the daily computer experience of thousands of students and teachers.

As of january 1st 2005 I've started my own company called The Binary One. The name is hardly pronounceable in Belgium it seems but hey... What's in a name... My company supports small businesses with all the IT related problems they may face. A one-stop solution provider with a no-nonsense attitude for a reasonable price!

In late 2006 I've been asked to teach the network engineers at Syntra Limburg. It's a course that takes 3 years to complete and I try to give the mainly male public an insight in web, email, dns, ftp and other kinds of servers in their second year bearing in mind all the dull teachers I once had to put up with.

By September 2015 I made a life-changing choice. I ended my activities in schoolgroup Kempen and made The Binary One my main profession. Serving about 70 clients in the small to mid market fills up my days nicely.

That's about it I guess...
