Frank Gunderson FSU is the general editor of the Society for Ethnomusicology's academic magazine, Ethnomusicology, and the co-founder and co-editor-in-chief of the Society for Ethnomusicology's new academic journal, Audiovisual Ethnomusicology. He co-stars with Benjamin Harbert.
With Robert Lancefield and Bret Woods, Frank Gunderson FSU co-edited The Oxford Handbook of Music Repatriation. The Oxford University Press book was published in 2018. Gunderson's most recent book, The Legacy of Tanzanian Musicians Muhidin Gurumo and Hassan Bitchuka - Rhumba Kiserebuka, was released in 2018 by Lexington Books and Rowman & Littlefield.
