Franklin is General Counsel at Naxos Music Group, in Nashville, TN, and a Young Lawyer Fellow with the American Bar Association. He's achieved extensive experience in providing in-depth and wide-ranging legal guidance to a global media/technology company with over 300 employees across more than a dozen regional offices around the world. Franklin excels in collaborative, fast-paced environments because of his motivated, self-starter attitude.

Franklin received his J.D. from Belmont University College of Law in Nashville and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee. His past experience includes Sony Music, Apple, Inc., and freelance video production.

In 2017, Franklin received special recognition from the American Bar Association's Section of Intellectual Property Law for "Outstanding Leadership Contribution" as a young lawyer at the ABA's 32nd Annual Intellectual Property Law Conference. He previously received the award in 2014 for his work with the ABA as a law student. Additionally, Franklin was awarded the "Top Student" award by the Samford University Department of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2010. In 2014, Franklin was recognized by the Tennessee Supreme Court for outstanding pro bono legal work during law school.

Franklin is a former research intern for This WEEK in LAW, a weekly technology law podcast part of the TWiT Network, as well as a former legal intern with the Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts, part of the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville. During his time in law school, Franklin also served as a research assistant to Professor Loren Mulraine and a law clerk at a boutique IP litigation firm in Nashville.

Franklin enjoys spending his free time exploring the Nashville food scene with his wife and taking their pug to dog parks.
