Frank Mosley
Frank Mosley is an award winning director, writer, editor, and actor from Arlington, TX. He attended The University of Texas at Arlington, where he received a BA in English and a minor in film.
His first feature film HOLD, a minimalist psychodrama, was a 2010 Venice Days candidate and IFP Narrative Labs Finalist, and has played at various U.S. festivals after its premiere at the 2010 Dallas International Film Festival. Deemed "one of the best films of 2010" (CINEMALOGUE), "bold, stark, and unflinching" (CINEHOUSE UK), and "daring and well made" (GORDON AND THE WHALE), HOLD is currently on its limited theatrical tour, starting in early 2011 at the ReRun Theater in Brooklyn, NYC.
He was a juror for the 2009 Dallas Video Festival, a panelist for the 2007 Lone Star International Film Festival, and has talked about his films on NPR and GOOD MORNING TEXAS. His showcased short films, video essays, and music videos are available for viewing on MUBI.His most recent short installation video I COULD LIVE IN HOPE, was on looped exhibition in February 2011 at the 500X Gallery in Dallas. He is currently in post on his second feature film, the experimental drama HOT/COLD, of which his 2009 stage play version was declared "groundbreaking" (FW WEEKLY) and "an event not to be missed" (PEGASUS NEWS).
As an actor represented by Linda McAlister Talent, he's appeared in Clay Liford's WUSS (SXSW 2011), James M. Johnston's KNIFE (SARASOTA 2011), and also won great reviews (VARIETY, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) and an acting nomination (AOF Film fest, 2009) for his portrayal of ex-con skinhead Jamie Hewitt Jr. in Justin D. Hilliard's THE OTHER SIDE OF PARADISE, which played over 30 festivals around the US. He's set to star in Tony Brownrigg's post apocalyptic drama ARCHAIC REDEMPTION and will be featured alongside Sundance fave Robert Longstreet Wheeler in Eric Steele's piercing study of sales and machismo, CORK'S CATTLEBARON. He can also be seen this fall in a villainous guest star role on the new ABC comedy series GHOSTBREAKERS.
