Franko was born in Sibenik, Croatia. For 20 years, he traveled internationally as an elite professional athlete. During that time, he experienced the world’s finest hospitality while developing a large network of personal and professional contacts. Franko spent most of his career playing basketball for Olympiacos, Greece, then named Europe’s Best Team of the Decade. With Olympiacos, Franko won five Greek championships and the highly coveted European Triple Crown. Franko worked closely with world class coaching greats such as Ionnis Ioanidis, Dusan Ivkovic, and Svetislav Pesic. He also starred on teams throughout Croatia, Germany, and Italy. In Germany, Franko won the German Basketball League Championship and German Basketball Cup with ALBA Berlin. He remains celebrated in Europe as a game-changing leader. Since retiring, Franko has transitioned his skillset to hospitality, advising high-end projects worldwide.
