Frank Wintrich serves as a strength and weight training coach at the University of Virginia (UVA), and brings over 13 years of collegiate level experience to the position. He oversees fitness and physical preparation for the university's football program and works closely with numerous university professionals, such as football staff, sports psychologists, sports nutritionists, and sports medicine professionals. With their collaboration, Frank Wintrich works towards a seamless integration of all sports performance aspects. Additionally, he also manages the leadership and camaraderie program Band of Brothers.

Prior to joining to UVA, he held a position at the University of North Texas as the director of football performance. He made several significant contributions to the university’s football program before his departure, including the implementation of a physical preparation model with a 93 percent Ready to Play standard and the development of the Progressive Athlete Development System. Before UNT, he worked as an assistant director of strength and conditioning at the University of South Florida, where he coordinated internships and managed the Return to Play program.
