Scientist, Inventor, and Researcher in Helsinki, Suomi
I am a Scientist, Inventor, and Researcher currently living in Helsinki, Suomi. My interests range from technology to reading. I am also interested in innovationa and Materials science.
I majored in applied material science. My major studies focused on material properties, characterization and different manufacturing methods. My minor studies in bionics and bioadaptive technology focused on biocompatible materials and on their application in medical technology.
In my Bachelor’s Thesis (spring 2011) I researched microelectrode materials for nerve cell measurements. I studied different materials that were used in nerve cell measurements either in vitro- or in vivo–experiments, and how the material properties could be modified with different coatings. My master’s thesiswas made in co-operation with Ovako and concerned the development of quenched and tempered steels used in the manufacturing of heavy chains. In the thesis I discussed different embrittlement phenomena found in the quenched and tempered steels, and how to stop it from happening during the manufacturing process.
I am currently writing my Doctoral Thesis for Aalto University, where I have been studying for my PhD since December 2013. My doctoral studies have concentrated on magnetic shape memory material hybrid composites. The materials I have been studying could be used either as an active damping element or as a wireless actuator element. The work has entailed manufacturing and characterization of the material and composite structures. I have learned a lot about crystal structures, martensitic transformation and the effects of alloying elements in nickel based alloy systems. I have also studied project management and pedagogy.
