Born and raised in southern Scotland, I've always had a passion for the outdoors. Coming from a family with a heritage in granite quarrying; my interest in geology was peaked from an early age.
In 2006 I was given the opportunity to pursue a degree in Geoscience at the University of St Andrews, Scotland. I graduated in 2010 with honours.
In 2011 I was given further opportunity to satisfy my curiosity when I was accepted to undertake a MSc in Geology under Dr Graham Layne at Memorial University. My thesis focuses on studying the evolution of intrusion-related gold mineralisation at the Dublin Gulch deposit, Yukon Territory. During summer 2012 I was employed by Victoria Gold Corp on the Dublin Gulch property as a geologist.
As I look to continue my career as a geologist I am keen to broaden my experience of all aspects of geology to become as well-rounded as possible. I have particular interest in gaining further insight into analytical geochemistry and to increase my exposure to mineral deposit types. In addition to my interest in geology. I have a keen interest in the fundamentals of business, particularly in quality systems.
