I was born in, Jamaica and migrated to the Unites States at age 21. It was drilled into me as a child that education is the path to success, so I continued my education first at the school for Television Arts (slight detour) then to Pace University to study accounting. I moved to Pennsylvania and continued my education and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and my Masters in Business Administration. I sat and passed the CPA exam and continued my education to become A Certified Control Assessor (CCSA). Still, I was not satisfied. I wanted to chart my own course by making my life to be more about serving others. As a child I always played school and knew deep inside I wanted to teach, I was also very passionate about the food I ate and my exercise, but did not see how I could combine it all. My ‘Ah Ha!’ moment came when I turned 50. I was restless; I wanted to spend my next half century doing something I loved. I found it while in Barnes and Noble getting reading material for my trip to Costa Rica in a magazine called “Good”. It was the first item that caught my eye, an ad about becoming a Health Coach from Integrative Nutrition(IIN). It spoke to my core and started me on this journey of service to others as a Certified Health Coach. I expanded my knowledge of trying to understand the reasons why making healthy choices can be so challenging for individuals. The continued quest to find answers, about creating change, lead to certifications as a Transformational Coach as well as a Master Coach in addressing habit change. I continue to learn and grow! I have my own Coach who stretches me to be the best I can be. I am humbled by how fulfilling this work is and how coaching changes lives. My primary goal now is to assist you in finding the best, healthy version of yourself.Transformational CoachingWhat is Transformation? It is a series of letting go so that new views, ideas, beliefs, and habits can take form that is more in line with your Desired State (DS). Letting go of the irrational meanings that are placed on p.rior events that in many cases, individuals were too young to understand or navigate: yet the meaning that was imprinted is still a part of the decision making process today. It is those thoughts, feelings, habits, beliefs and attitudes that are pervasive in the decision process that precludes change and in most cases accepted. Transformational Coaching is the process of rewriting those untruths
