FRED SENESE is a former NASA researcher who teaches chemistry at a small university in rural Appalachia.

He is the author of three books (including Wiley & Son’s best-selling Chemistry: Matter and its Changes, which has been translated into Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese). His award-winning website General Chemistry Online has been cited by the San Francisco Chronicle, Scientific American, and the American Library Association.

Fred also writes short stories and flash fiction. His story "Atoms of Jesus" was nominated for a 2017 Pushcart Prize and he has won several international writing competitions. His most recent stories have appeared or are forthcoming in Spark: A Creative Anthology, Bartleby Snopes, Triptych Tales, Firewords Quarterly, Flame Tree Anthologies, The Molotov Cocktail, and others.
