Frederica Tibbs

Frederica began to sing at the age of 5yrs old in the choir at the local Seventh Day Adventist Church. By the age of eleven, she was singing solo at its events and eventually auditioned for a talent show called Opportunity knocks. At the age of 15yrs old, Frederica was spotted by musician Sami Francis, who involved her in a young talent show, which gave her the incentive to move on in her singing career. Eventually, recordings took off in the early 1980s, after joining the popular lovers rock band 'Family Love', guided by Lloyd Heron. By 1984, Frederica took flight and recorded numerous hit singles with some of UK's top producers like Derrick Fevrier, Mafia and Fluxy, Mad Professor, Patrick Donagan. Frederica, has accompanied many top Reggae 's artists both local and international as a backing vocalist, act's include the late great Gregory Isaac's, Delroy Wilson, Dennis Brown, Judge Dread, Little Roy and Dave Barker to name a few. Frederica is not only a singer but a devote mother and Nurse working with Alzheimer patients, which she finds is one of the most challenging but rewarding life changing experiences ever. Recently, Frederica has turned her attention to song writing and has new aspirations for a gospel calling, which has manifested in the form of her new group which is called 'ADMIRATION'. I believe that my life’s experiences have prepared and guided me into this current project-Admiration, which I believe to be my true calling….
