Getting and staying in shape remains both achievable and fun at Frederick Athletic Club, which takes a holistic approach to fitness and health. The first-class wellness center, located in Frederick, Maryland, offers clean, upscale facilities; a friendly environment; a professional staff; and a variety of membership options. In addition to a full NCAA regulation gymnasium, Frederick Athletic Club offers locker rooms, a sauna and steam room, and group exercise studios.

Equipment rooms at Frederick Athletic Club hold a number of new cardiovascular machines, such as Life Fitness bikes, StairMaster StepMill Gauntlet stair climbers, treadmills, and Cybex Arc trainers. Strength-training classes at Frederick Athletic Club include BODYPUMP and Flex 501. Cardiovascular classes run the gamut, from kick boxing, Core Box, and R.I.P.P.E.D. to step aerobics and Zumba. The 55 classes taught weekly at Frederick Athletic Club include dance, Pilates, yoga, and PiYo, a combination of the latter two.

The Group Cycle program, for beginners and advanced cyclists, holds more than 20 classes weekly. Another option at Frederick Athletic Club, the Boot Camp class produces significant results. In addition to classes, Frederick Athletic Club offers basketball and dodgeball leagues, as well as free-play volleyball. A famed high school basketball coach teaches the fundamentals of the game to boys and girls ages 7 to 17 in a series of camp sessions. Minor league baseball team the Frederick Keys, an affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, has utilized Frederick Athletic Club as its official training center for five years.

New members at Frederick Athletic Club receive initial evaluations. Certified fitness trainers then work with them to design individual exercise programs and help them reach fitness goals. Each membership at Frederick Athletic Club comes with workout orientation, a personal training session, 10 fitness coaching sessions, and 14-day passes for 2 family members or friends. In conjunction with its ongoing efforts to help others improve their wellness, Frederick Athletic Club partners with The American National Red Cross on blood drives.
