Partner in New York
Retired partner Frederick Tanne served of counsel for the international firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Mr. Tanne originally accepted a position with Kirkland as an associate in 1990. He later cofounded the firm’s New York office, hiring and retaining high-performing attorneys and developing the corporate practice into a 400-attorney operation. He ultimately became a senior partner and served on the 15-person Firmwide Management Committee for six years. During that period, Frederick Tanne managed a 1,500-attorney global team that brought in annual revenues totaling more than $2 billion.
Fred Tanne also previously served as one of four attorneys on the investment committee of the portfolio private equity company Randolph Street Partners. He is the recipient of multiple honors, including a decade-long listing among the Best Lawyers in America and citation for his expertise in leveraged buyouts and private equity.
Over the past few years, Mr. Tanne’s speaking engagements have included presentations on sustainable development and investment in Brazil and a Fordham University School of Law seminar on best practices in raising capital in Brazil, Russia, India, and China.
