Fred Harmeyer

Fred Harmeyer established his career in New York City in real estate finance and investment. From 2002 until 2007, he was Managing Director and head of the large loan group at Merrill Lynch Mortgage Lending, Inc. As Managing Director, Fred Harmeyer managed a broad client base and was involved in activities ranging from CMBS bridge loans, preferred equity, mezzanine and corporate debt.

Before his time at Merrill Lynch from 1995 through 2002, Fred Harmeyer was an Executive Director in the principal transactions group at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Prior to joining this group he served the company as a sell-side equity research analyst. He was recognized for his efforts in this regard as a leading commercial real estate analyst by Reuters and Institutional Investor.

Also knowledgeable in the field of banking, Fred Harmeyer spent three years at Kidder, Peabody & Co. as Vice President of Real Estate Investment Banking. He was involved in IPOs and secondary offerings for real estate investment trusts during the REIT market’s early stage. Fred Harmeyer had responsibility for structuring, marketing, finding new business, and maintaining clientele. He also took charge of a number of real estate partnerships in the private sector and supervised a staff of asset managers.
