Fred Khoroushi

Fred Khoroushi earned his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and his M.B.A. from the University of Dallas in Texas. In 1993, Khoroushi founded Alpine Armoring Inc., a Herndon, Virginia, company that specializes in the production of small and medium-sized armored vehicles. As President and Chief Executive Officer of the firm, he has helped Alpine Armoring to become an internationally known manufacturing concern.

At Alpine Armoring, Fred Khoroushi oversees contracts with the U.S. General Services Administration, the U.S. Armed Forces, and the United Nations. In addition, Alpine Armoring provides vehicles to banks, law enforcement agencies, embassies, government officials, and the petrochemical and mining industries. Recently, Khoroushi has been expanding the company’s market share in African nations. He has worked with the World Bank so that developing countries can obtain armored fleets.

Fred Khoroushi’s work at Alpine Armoring has attracted considerable media attention. Both The History Channel and the National Geographic Channel have produced documentary segments on the company’s armored vehicles. Alpine Armoring follows a “three-E” protocol to provide excellent products to its customers: engineering, experience, and emphasis on details. Khoroushi ensures that all Alpine Armoring vehicles incorporate the latest materials and designs. He has years of experience in the field, and his staff carefully inspects each vehicle to ensure its safety. Due to this careful attention during manufacturing, in 17 years no Alpine Armoring vehicle has ever suffered an incident of penetration.

Fred Khoroushi is dedicated to many important causes. He donates to the American Civil Liberties Union and Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières. He is an avid supporter of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, a Washington, D.C., group devoted to promoting nutrition and food safety. Khoroushi retains memberships in ASIS International (formerly known as the American Society of Industrial Security) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
