Myron (Frank) Smith Jr

Hello I'm a Fremont County native & resident for 52 years. I am proud of my connection to this community & know that this makes me highly qualified to understand the needs of our residents. My wife Tina, & I have enjoyed raising our daughter Malorie in this County. She has gone on to become a teacher & is married to John Rael.

I have been active & involved in the following organizations. Past Exalted Ruler & current member Florence Elks Lodge for 33 years. Past President Canon City Jaycees in mid 1980's. Past President & current member of the Royal Gorge Lions since mid 1980's. Past member of the Pueblo Vocational Graphic Arts Advisory Committee late 1990's. Past member of Canon City Prospectors late 1980's to early 1990's. Current member of Canon City Chamber of Commerce. Member of CWA Union Local 7708 AFL-CIO.

I am campaigning for County Commissioner because I want to represent the interests of Fremont County residents in maintaining financial stability & insuring accountability. I especially want to focus on less government & work to make our county more attractive for jobs & businesses. We need to make it easier for building in Fremont County. We need to Protect our water & land rights. Finish Pathfinder park so we can get more events going to bring in more revenue.

My extensive business background & devotion to Fremont County gives me the best qualifications for the Fremont County Commissioner position.
