FREDRIK SODERSTROM is a PhD Candidate at the Information Systems department at IEI, LIU and his dissertation is focused on social and institutional aspects of electronic identification (e-ID) in the public sector. Fredrik has a particular interest in how various organizational and social aspects affect the development, implementation and use of e-ID solutions across different organizational levels. He has a long experience working as a software developer in the private sector and has actively followed the development of the Swedish e-ID since 2011.

Past: IT support (hardware/software). System development (web, logistics, finance, data-warehousing and CMSs). Both as a consultant (5 years) and inhouse resource (8 years). Research project assistant/investigator in electronic government and electronic health. Bridging the gap between business/stakeholder needs and IT-based service delivery in private as well as public sector organisations. Holds a BSc in Systems Science and a MSc in IT and Management.

Present: PhD Candidate in Information Systems with a focus on organizational and social aspects of IS/IT in an organisational and/or governmental context. Specific research interest in social as well as technical aspects of electronic identification in professional as well as private use. Also interested in information security and privacy/integrity aspects of electronic identification. Thesis work focuses on different aspects of electronic identification in an multi-level/multi-context organisational, technical and social setting.
