Fresno County Sheriff Explorer Post #459

In 1966, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office established an explorer program that allowed young adults, ages 14-21, to obtain the knowledge and support it takes to pursue a career in law enforcement. Since the beginning, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Explorer Post #459 has made it, its primary objective to provide these young men and women with the various types of training, skills, and exposure necessary to succeed in this line of work. This is done by meeting on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month for scenario reenactments and inter-agency trainings, participating in physical fitness activities, going on ride-alongs with deputies, and working details for our community.
