Teacher and Mother in Kodiak, Alaska

I am a teacher and mother currently living in Kodiak, Alaska. I've been living and teaching all over the great state of Alaska for the last 23 years. My whole career has been in rural and remote education, so I understand the many challenges those educators face. I have been a distance and digital/online teacher for 14 years.

I was an adjunct instructor for the University of Alaska Southeast, where I taught Educational Technology classes. I love introducing my students to the professional joys of digital learning tools.

Most recently, I am on the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development Virtual Learning Consortium Advisory Board, and in the summer of 2025 worked on the committee to create AI integration guidelines for the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development to share with educators across the great State of Alaska.

I frequently provide AI Literacy and AI tools training for my colleagues in KIBSD.

My interests range from technology to movies. I am also interested in hot chocolate, AI in education, and innovation. I'm an old time paper circuitry fan.
