Furqan Asif
Currently, I am a PhD candidate in International Development at the University of Ottawa's School of International Development and Global Studies. My research is focused on understanding resilience, vulnerability, and poverty. Specifically, I am looking at how coastal communities and small-scale fisheries in Southeast Asia (country to be determined), transform, adapt and/or change in the context of climate change, urbanization and globalization.
Previous experience at the intersection of environment, policy and international development at United Nations University and Canadian International Development Agency.
