Farbod Zahiri
Student, engineer, and Technology Operations Intern in Atlanta, Georgia
I am a fourth year Electrical and Electronics Engineering student with an intended graduation date of May 5, 2017. I have experience in signal processing, machine learning, software development, and embedded systems. My experience is supported by myeducation at The University of Georgia along with two summers of interning at Air Logistics and Engineering Consultants and one summer of participating in the AT&T Technology Development Summer Internship Program.
My experience at The University of Georgia has been wonderful. I am part of the first class of Electrical Engineers to ever graduate from UGA. Although the program is new, UGA is a very professional university with a vibrant history of success. The education I am receiving at UGA is the perfect amount of theoretical and hands on work. I've been through traditional Electrical Engineering classes such as Circuits and Power Systems, however I have also taken courses such as embedded systems and big data analytics. These none traditional classes have increased my set of skills and aided my process of becoming an excellent Engineer.
I have interned ever since the first summer after my freshman year. For two summers I held a software engineering internship with a company based in Warner Robins Georgia called Air Logistics and Engineering Consultants (ALAE). At ALAE I aided in projects contracted with the United States Air Force that involved documentation, software testing, and data mining. This past summer I was an intern for AT&T. I was enrolled in the AT&T Technology Development Program where I worked in the Atlanta Georgia corporate office. Along with working a traditional engineering internship the program also gave me the opportunity to connect with leaders of the corporation and learn how to optimize my skills in order to be a successful engineer when I graduate.
