G. Scott Paterson is a Toronto-based entrepreneur, board leader, and investor focused on building and backing companies at the intersection of technology, media, and finance.

He serves as Executive Chair and Co-Founder of FutureVault Inc., a digital document management company enabling institutions, advisors, and clients to securely manage personal and business information with intelligence and compliance. As digital trust becomes a top priority, FutureVault’s infrastructure is poised to play a vital role in the future of digital wealth and governance.

He also serves as Chairman of QYOU Media Inc. (TSXV:QYOU), an emerging media company operating one of India’s fastest-growing youth entertainment networks. Its focus is on connecting brands with Gen Z and millennial audiences through short-form content, creator partnerships, and OTT distribution.

In 2006, he led JumpTV Inc. through its $71 million IPO led by Morgan Stanley, positioning the company as one of the first Internet-based television providers. The company later merged with NeuLion Inc. and was acquired by Endeavor Group Holdings Inc. in a $250 million transaction.

He also served as Executive VP at Yorkton Securities from 1995 to 1998, and Chairman and CEO from 1998 to 2001. During his tenure, the firm’s revenue grew from $60 million in his first year to $244 million by 2001.

He has served on numerous public and private company boards, including Lionsgate Entertainment Canada, where he has been a member of the Board of Directors for over 25 years and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee for over 15 years. He co-founded and continues to serve as Chair of ComKids, a foundation providing technology access to underserved students across Canada. He has also served for over 25 years as Governor of his alma mater, Ridley College, supporting education and opportunity for the next generation.

He and his wife, Sarah, support various charities, including War Child, which supports children and families in conflict-affected regions. He also serves on the Board of the Canadian Olympic Foundation, supporting Canada's athletes and the values of excellence and perseverance.
