Giovanni Antonio Cossu

I am a Business Development Manager with a long experience at national and international level.

My professional and entrepreneurial expertise has grown in years of activity in the software and engineering services, now mainly addressing the RES market (solar technologies).

I’m currently launching a new business (a web company too new to say...) and representing a Spanish engineering Company in Italy, after having spent a 5 years long experience in a Italian process engineering Company providing modelling solutions for the energy market.

My career started with a long period spent in the same IT Company I founded together with some classmates during the University years – I’ve got a degree in Computer Science and the Qualification as IT Engineer – then I joined in 1997 a Company operating in the field of the emerging web solutions with the role of Marketing Manager. In 2001, and up to 2004, I accepted the challenging role of Responsible of the IT Services at the University of Pisa, the same I formerly studied in.

Later, after a couple of years mostly running my own professional business in the IT secror (Director of a Consortium of around 25 SMEs located in Tuscany; then involved in a project for the development of the Centro Regionale di Competenza per il Riuso del Software), I turned my attention to the Renewable Energy Sources and mostly to the Concentrating Solar Power, which is curently the main focus of my professional activity.
