Giorgos Dimitropoulos

I was born home, which is in Athens Greece, in 1972. After many mistakes which lead one to another, I became a Doctor of Manufacturing Engineering with a specialty in industrial measurements and mechatronics. My PhD under scholarship from EPSRC was issued, reluctantly, by Loughborough University.

Since the age of 11 I destroy computers, mostly by accident, seer curiosity and as a result of reading the FAQ afterwards. People say I am a hacker because of that. Well ... My favourite expression's: "FAQ! Should have read this before!" should explain! Thank God, my students at the department of mechanical engineering in the TEI of Piraeus and the Naval Academy of Aspropyrgos help me stop doing this!

Research Interests: open manufacturing, open naval automations, open technologies in general.
