My name is Greg, and I have always been impressed with the sport of golf. Maybe it is because I am not that great, and admired those who had the skill, or maybe it is just because. I have played golf all my life very casually, and very randomly. My dad has given me a few pointers here and there on the seldom times we went to the driving range together, but besides that I was on my own. I had plans on joining my high school golf team in my junior year, but tore my ACL just two months prior. When my senior year came around, my knee had fully recovered and I jumped at the opportunity to play golf once again.

Second semester senior year was filled with hours and hours spent at the driving range and on the course. It was a slow process, but I developed a close relationship with my coach, who on one hand was an amazing golfer and teacher himself, but also role model to me. I looked at golf as not just a game that old people play when they are retired, but as an intended business major, I saw it as an important aspect of modern day business. It sounds cliché, but I have hopes of one day finally climbing the ranks of a business and making deals with other made business men on the golf course. Playing on the golf team was just one small step towards making that a reality.
