I have always had a passion for music, but that does not mean that I am good with it. In my early years, my first influence on music was my mother. Her singing made me develop a love for music and singing also. The passion grew and I would express it through performances and competitions in high school. Even though I won some awards and people knew me as a person who can sing, there were still negative comments about my craft. And these criticisms, even though some were true, hurt my feelings and made me think about quitting something I really love.
I entered the Conservatory of Music at the University of Santo Tomas, and I am in my 4th year now. Learning more about music and having the proper foundation, helped me a lot in my journey of perfecting my craft. I knew a higher standard of music, different forms of music, and different theories in music. All of these helped me become a better singer and musician.
Pursuing what I love the most, even though a lot of people I knew doubted me, was something I am really proud of. I did not just become a better musician, I made a lot of big steps in achieving my dreams. I was just a young man who had a passion for music but was not talented enough.
This is why I wanted to have a business that caters to people who were like me. Those people who had the love, but lacked the knowledge in music. I owe it to them to help them acquire information about the history, theory, and forms of music so that they can become the musicians they want to be. And these courses are for those who wish to know more about music, but will not enter any conservatories. The courses I believe should be integrated into our basic education. Learning more will eventually transform these musicians into better artists.
