Gabe Weinert
Currently serving as a Senior Vice President of Carlton Group, Gabe Weinert has worked in the finance industry for over 10 years. In May 1999, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. After graduation, Gabe Weinert began work as an Acquisitions Associate with Heitman Capital Management, LLC in Chicago. In this job, he underwrote a wide variety of private equity real estate investments in the United States. Following Heitman, Gabe Weinert left to accept a position with a hedge fund where he eventually traded derivatives at the CBOE and Mercatile Exchange and managed a derivatives portfolio with UBS Warburg. Gabe Weinert then enrolled at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he earned his MBA in Private Equity and Finance in March 2005. During the summer of 2004, Gabe Weinert worked as a Summer Associate with JPMorgan Chase & Co. There, he assisted the company in underwriting and structuring CMBS financings, mezzanine financings, and corporate restructurings. Once he had completed his MBA, Gabe Weinert became an Acquisitions and Asset Manager with a Lehman Brothers' sponsored opportunity fund that had over $600 MM of equity and $4 B of AUM, TVP ASSET Inc, and then between 2007 and 2009, he also worked with Emigrant Bank where he managed a portfolio of debt investments such as bridge and mezzanine loans. He still lives and works in Los Angeles.
