Gabriel Martínez

Ciudad de México, 1975.- Estudió comunicación educativa, derecho (U. Marista) y literatura (Escuela Dinámica de Escritores, EDDE). Durante 24 años se ha desarrollado en diversos ámbitos relacionados con los museos, el cine, la industria editorial, la política y la cultura. Es socio fundador de DocumentaMx (2008) en donde ha desarrollado proyectos con el INAH, CONACULTA (hoy SC), Presidencia de la República, UNAM, entre otros. Fundó y dirigió el Taller Cinematográfico de Mantarraya, y con RANDOM HOUSE MONDADORI editó y coordinó el proyecto editorial del libro TRANSICIÓN de Carmen Aristegui. Dirige los proyectos del programa SÍNTESIS para a Coordinación de Difusión Cultural de la UNAM y desde el año 2010 produce el proyecto fotográfico -Washed Up de Alejandro Durán.

Mexico City, 1975.- With studies in communication, law (Marista University) and literature (EDDE) Gabriel believes in interdisciplinary work and the force of language. For the last 18 years he has been working with documentary projects related with edition, politics, culture and cinema. His 1.5 year work,TRANSICION, as an editor of Carmen Aristegui´s work, was published in 2010 by Random House Mondadori. He finished a 3 year period as a former director of a Film School in Mexico, Taller de Cine Mantarraya. During 2016 - 2017 he directed the audiovisual and graphic project of the Museum of the Mexican Constitutions sponsored by la UNAM.

NYC is a familiar place to him thanks to his work as an associate producer to the WASHED UP PROJECT of Alejandro Duran and his last production work this year is BIELORRUSA, short film by Oscar Enriquez. Now a days he is building the new experimental project in Media (Film, Radio, Tv and Opera) for the Office of Cultural Matters at la UNAM.
