Gabrielle Harris
Consultant, Social Media Manager, and Creative Director in Dallas, Texas
Gabrielle Harris is a political strategist with experience across local, state, and national Democratic politics. She became politically engaged while in high school, actively advocating for the Black Lives Matter movement following a horrific act of police brutality in her community, motivating her to join local and statewide organizations and gain hands-on experience in coalition-building.
She has hosted countless campus voter registration efforts and spent years organizing to secure an on-campus polling location, made possible by electing a Democratic county commissioner in conservative East Texas, despite being told it was impossible. Harris worked on Beto O'Rourke's 2018 U.S. Senate campaign, helping increase voter registration and turnout in Nacogdoches County. She later served as the Texas College Outreach Organizer for Elizabeth Warren's presidential campaign, a first-of-its-kind role focused on building statewide college organizing infrastructure.
Gabrielle went on to serve as National President of College Democrats of America during the historic 2020 presidential election. During her tenure, she helped build and lead an administration of nearly 100 student leaders and coordinated voter registration efforts that reached thousands of college students nationwide, including those studying abroad. This work aligned with a historic surge in youth participation in 2020, when turnout among youth voters rose to approximately 50%, an increase of roughly 11 points from 2016. Under her leadership, College Democrats sustained youth engagement during the Georgia runoff, resulting in the election of Senators Ossoff and Warnock.
As that period closed, she joined the Democratic National Committee's social platforms team and served as the Lead Strategist for President Joe Biden. In that role, she contributed to over 13 billion impressions and grew the accounts by over 6 million followers. Following the President's decision to leave the 2024 race, Gabrielle helped launch and scale the Team Kamala social media account, earning more than 47 million impressions and growing the account by over 100,000 followers in under two months.
A proud Texan and graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University, she earned a degree in political science. She received numerous accolades for student involvement, including a nomination for Undergraduate Student Leader of the Year. Outside of work, you can (still) find her scrolling socials, spending time with her two dogs, Eva and Moana, or asking her friends and family if they are registered to vote (at their current address!)
