GABY HERBSTEIN The Argentinian photographer was born May 3, 1969 and has a history of more than 20 years of work. Her transgressional art has made her one of the most sought out photographers, not only by national brands, but also by prestigious international brands such as L 'O real, Garnier, Procter & Gambia. Sony, Canada Dry and Telcel. She has created 18 solo shows annually in Museums in our country: Metropolitan Museum, Centro Cultural Borges, Malba, Recoleta Cultural Center, Palais de Glace, and traveling exhibitions at home and abroad. In the U.S. (Miami) she displayed solo exhibitions at prestigious galleries of contemporary art, such as Art Basel, Art Miami, Chelsea Gallery, Broward Center of Performing Art, Jackie Gleason Theatre. The artist was chosen by the Argentine Consulate in the U.S. to represent Argentina at the International Book Fair in Miami. For the past 17 years she turned personal projects into samples in which her calendars have become a staple of urban culture: Ecology, Women in Argentina's history, Aboriginal art works such as the Calendar of Julio Bocca, are some of the issues she has developed. Always being attentive to the social commitment that involves the diffusion of controversial issues, she therefore, performed 4 Guest Calendars for a Foundation to raise awareness on prevention against HIV / AIDS. In 1998 she released her first project, silver environmentalist, and since then it has been made evident how serious the environmental problems are that we face and the urgent need for changes in terms of taking care of our planet, which is a subject that stands true to its commitment. These ecological works can be seen in her 2010 and 2011 works of, I and Ecological Footprint Footprint II. In 2009 she published her first book of photographs, Aves del Paraiso also known as Bird of Paradise, for the benefit and Azara Foundation, which is an organization that promotes the recovery and conservation of birds. The project took 3 years of intensive work involving over 300 professionals from various fields. She is currently working on a new personal project called ¨ UNO¨, ONE. ONE aims to point out that humans are ONE with the environment around us and the Universe.
