Gustavus Christian Alumni Network

St. Peter Mn

Hey Gusties!

The Lord is doing a new thing here at Gustavus, and we want you to be a part of it!

It's been on our collective heart to see established a connection between current Gusties and those who have come and gone before; whether that be having graduated a year ago or seventy. The body of Christ has far too long been disjointed, both holistically around the world, and within the Gustavus community, and we deeply desire to see that begin to change

those of you who've been off of the hill for a while, just for your reference, there are currently five student-led Christain orgs on campus apart from the Chapel, which each have a unique mission and community. In recent years, there has even been a coming together of the orgs under the banner of 'United', which is a gathering of the Christian org leaders, coming together for the sake of the kingdom of God on this campus.

However, as many of you know, having Christian orgs doesn't necessarily mean anything, and neither do titles, statistics, or traditions. While there has been great progress in growing in the knowledge of the Lord in some respects, there are still so many people here who don't know Jesus; who need to be made whole; even church-going Christians who need to truly discover the love and grace of the Father.

Therefore, we entreat you to join us in the first and primary function of this network, which is to pray - to stand in the gap for a campus that needs it. Many of you don't know the names or the faces of who you'd be praying for (yet), but the core issues are nothing new: people need to know Jesus for who He truly is and give themselves to him in love. God is very good at redeeming, restoring, and bringing what is dead back to life (ex: 1 Kings 17:21-22, 2 Chron 7:14, John 10:10, Amos 5:4). This campus is no exception.

We believe. We will stand. We will pray. Will you join us? We're praying for...

- Many students, staff, faculty, administration, and trustees to come to know Jesus.

- Solidification of identity in God's love and acceptance within His sons and daughters on campus.

- Unity among the overall body of Christ, in Spirit and in truth.

- Clear proclamation of the gospel and great openness to receive it.

- Grace for the believers on campus to continually seek God's face and surrender to His Lordship daily.
