Gael Fraiteur
Software Engineer, Public Speaker, and Director in Prague, Czech Republic
Hello, my name is Gael and I am a software engineer residing in Prague, Czech Republic.
I have been coding since I was 11 years old. My first programming language was GW-BASIC, my first operating system was Unix System V, and my first editor was VI (without the M, which as you know stands for Improved). I wrote my first commercial software at the age of 13.
I am the founder and lead developer at PostSharp Technologies. I designed PostSharp and Metalama, which are two meta-programming frameworks that bring aspect-oriented programming to .NET and C#.
I often speak at .NET conferences and user groups about various topics, including aspect-oriented programming, meta-programming, clean code, and design patterns.
I have 5 kids.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, particularly baroque and nuevo tango. I also play the piano a little.
I pursued my studies in applied mathematics and philosophy, which gives me a very theoretical and human-centric approach to software development.
