My home is currently Needham, MA. The majority of my freelance work includes: public relations, editorial, portrait work and events.
In my fine art work, I enjoy making the viewer question what they are seeing, so that a conventional landscape, which is graphically interesting, could be a documentary shot, or an intimate portrait, a humoristic image, or perhaps a painting. I prefer a delicate insight into my subjects over an anonymous distance, and if an image is confusing, it is not because I enjoy its absurdity, but because I am gently asking if this everyday thing could, in a world of its own, become something wonderful.
The painted image shows my love for the embellished photographic process. They are not manipulated by computer, but are images printed on artist watercolor paper and handmade paper, using the giclee printing process of fine drops of ink on the paper. I then embellish the surface with oil pastel, marshall oils, and lead pencils.
