Gale Leach
Writer, Editor, and Musician in Sun City West, AZ
When I moved to Arizona, I fell in love with pickleball, a wonderful sport with a silly name. My first book, The Art of Pickleball, won the Arizona Book Award in 2007. This success spurred me to try fiction, a lifelong dream. In 2011 I finished my first novel, Bruce and the Road to Courage, a heroic fantasy for children. This was followed by three more novels in the "Bruce and Friends" series, with a fourth nearly done. I also finished the first novel in a series for young adults—a cross-worlds fantasy with magic and creatures you only thought were mythological—and have begun the next book in the series.
In 2011, I also created my own publishing company, Two Cats Press. I publish my own works, as well of those of a few other select authors. My novels have won numerous awards and the children's books are part of the school curriculum in Arizona and California.
Writing fiction is my passion, along with playing Celtic music, singing, traveling, and kayaking. I live with my husband, two dogs, and a cat. Learn more about me at www.galeleach.com.
