Creating myself is something I have been working on for quite some time now. Finally accomplishing one of life's greatest achievements by graduating from Noble Street College Prep High School in 2011 with honors and a 3.9 GPA.
Leaving Chicago in style, I now attend the University of Illinios at Urbana-Champagin (UIUC) with both the Golden Apple Scholarship and the General Assembly Scholarship both in hand.
Now in UIUC, I am a declared English major pursing Secondary Education. Besides being academically challeged, I try to push the limits of my comfort zone. I have joined various clubs such as Advocates for Choice, a pro-choice advacacy group; Pancakes for Poverty, a group that sells pancakes and donate the money to a local food bank; and Puerto Rican Student Assoication (PRSA), a group that studies ways to enhance our personal knowledge of being Puerto Rican as well as educating others on our eithnity.
Being involved in many areas allows be to contiune to have a opitmistic and open mind towards the life around me. I am full of engery, passion, and the readiness to learn. As my motto states, "life is about creating yourself", and I intend to do just that
