Throughout his career, entertainment executive Garianno Lorenzo has worked at the highest levels of the music, film, television, and technology industries, amassing a number of notable achievements in the process. Mr. Lorenzo currently oversees a wide range of entertainment properties, including feature films, his memoirs, technology, and archival material. The owner of a vast collection of Michael Jackson-related memorabilia, Garianno Lorenzo possesses more than 230 of the singer’s master recording tapes, 18,000 never-before-seen family photos and slides, and two unreleased hour-long documentaries shot by the Jacksons in the 1970s. Among his present cinematic investments, Mr. Lorenzo is producing the feature films Fight Spirit Pride, Mulholland Highway, Hit With a Bullet, and seven others. In addition, Garianno Lorenzo works with technology pioneers Tolga Katas and "Captain Crunch" (known from Steve Wozniak of Apple Computers) on new game-changing technology that aims to forever change how audio is recorded and how content is delivered to consumers on a massive scale. Commanding a rich and varied professional history, Mr. Lorenzo has spent more than 20 years as a financier for major projects in the entertainment industry. In this regard, Garianno Lorenzo helped to launch independent online music store CD Baby in 1990. He was also the first to pioneer hard-disk recording technology with The Roland Corporation, and the first to receive a Grammy nomination on a 10-time Grammy award-winning major recording artist using this technology. He also helped develop the earliest incarnations of the music sales tracking system SoundScan, now owned by Neilsen. Highly acclaimed for his work as a songwriter, music producer, and manager, Mr. Lorenzo played a key role as a talent manager at Dick Scott Entertainment, whose clients included Mark Wahlberg and New Kids on the Block. Named SESAC Producer of the Year with the dance song of the year, Garianno Lorenzo also holds two MTV Video Sales Awards, was part of three Grammy Award-winning projects, and counts several Recording Industry Association of America Gold and Platinum records among his credits.
